Doctor of Physical Therapy - Rachel Schacht

Rachel Schacht, PT, DPT (she/her)

  • Dr. Rachel Schacht earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Maryland and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Hunter College in New York City.

    Rachel has experience treating a diverse patient population including pelvic health, orthopedics, post surgical recovery, geriatrics and pediatrics. She has always been passionate about human anatomy and movement science, which serves as the driving force behind the desire to help people overcome their health challenges through exercise. She has completed continuing education classes through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation, the Institution of Physical Art (CoreFirst Strategies) and Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. She is also certified in pilates mat and dry needling and is excited to further her manual therapy certification in the future.

    Rachel grew up in Michigan, and is thrilled to be growing her family here in New England. In her free time, Rachel enjoys traveling, cooking, snowboarding, and spending time with her husband and daughter Nora in Sharon, MA.

Danielle Kearney, PT, DPT (she/her)

  • Dr. Danielle Kearney earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac University in Hamden CT.

    Danielle has ten years experience treating a diverse patient population including orthopedics, geriatrics, post op, and pelvic health patients. Growing up as an athlete, initially she was drawn to PT to help patients return to sport and preferred activities after injury. Since becoming a mom, this passion shifted to pelvic health to take an active role in providing women with the appropriate and necessary care to optimize their recovery. She has completed continuing education classes through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation and Mass General Institute of Health Professionals.

    Danielle grew up nearby in Framingham, MA and enjoys DIY house projects, playing soccer and cooking in her spare time. She lives in Medway, MA with her husband and two sons.

Alicia Jeffrey-Thomas, PT, DPT (she/her)

  • Dr. Alicia Jeffrey-Thomas has been a pelvic floor physical therapist for over six years and has experience working with people of all genders and ages with pelvic health diagnoses. She isn’t one to shy away from taboo topics. From bladder problems to bowel movements to sex, Alicia is always game to talk through the dirty details to help patients figure out what’s going on “down there.” To this end, she has created and directed multiple social media platforms where she spreads evidence based pelvic health information in humorous and relatable ways. Her page, @ThePelvicDanceFloor, has over 1 MILLION combined followers between Instagram and Tiktok. She and her content have been featured in podcasts, magazines, blogs, and on television.

    Alicia is originally from Florida and received both her doctorate degree in Physical Therapy as well as her bachelors in Health Science from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). She obtained her Pelvic Rehab Practitioner Certification (PRPC) through Herman & Wallace. She is also certified in functional dry needling. Alicia moved to Massachusetts at the end of 2018 and weirdly enough, her favorite thing about the northeast is the weather. She lives in Roslindale with her husband, Michael and dog, Cady. In her spare time, she loves traveling, skiing, hiking, and exploring new restaurants in Boston.

Postpartum PT doctor Nicole

Nicole Morteo, PT, DPT, NCS (she/her)

  • Nicole Morteo, PT, DPT, NCS earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Merrimack College. She has experience in both the inpatient acute hospital setting and the outpatient setting.

    Nicole has been a board certified Neurologic Clinic Specialist since 2014. She completed training in pelvic health through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, including in pregnancy/postpartum rehab. After experiencing for herself how much is lacking in perinatal care, Nicole shifted her practice to focus on pelvic health in order to be able to empower women in their own pregnancy and postpartum journeys.

    Nicole is originally from the South Shore, and now lives in Milton with her husband and their two children. She enjoys traveling, cooking, fitness classes, and spending as much time as possible with her family.

Alyssa Demeule, PT, DPT (she/her)

  • Dr. Alyssa Demeule earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences and Doctorate of Physical Therapy through an accelerated program at Quinnipiac University in Hamden CT.

    Alyssa has gained experience treating diverse patient populations in multiple settings including pelvic health, orthopedics, vestibular, geriatrics, and neurological conditions. She is extremely passionate about pelvic floor physical therapy, and puts her energy toward educating people and advocating for the growth of the specialty. She has completed continuing education training through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation to further her clinical skills. Alyssa became interested in treating pelvic health conditions after her own experience in pelvic floor therapy dealing with chronic pelvic pain. This allows her to empathize and connect with her patients as she guides them through their own pelvic rehabilitation journey.

    Alyssa grew up on the North Shore in Merrimac MA and enjoys the beach, hiking in NH, running, traveling to new places, and walking her black lab, Ollie, in her free time

Tory Des Marais, PT, DPT (she/her)

  • Dr. Tory Des Marais earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Doctorate of Physical Therapy through an accelerated program at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

    Tory has 6 years of experience working with a diverse patient population including orthopedics, sports medicine, post operative care, and pelvic health. She completed pelvic health training through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and has enhanced her manual skills through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Tory is passionate about helping patients resume their active lifestyle by providing both knowledge and an individualized plan of care so the benefits of treatment can last a lifetime. She strives to be an advocate in the perinatal field and provide her patients with the quality care they deserve.

    Tory grew up in Cape Elizabeth, ME and is now settled in Foxboro, MA with her husband and their black lab, Archie. She enjoys trail walks with her dog, gardening, pilates and spending time on the beach with her family.

  • Katie Luchini earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst as well as receiving her nursing license from Quincy College.

    For the past 20 years Katie has worked as a nurse in both the acute and non acute settings. She knew at early age helping care for others is what she was meant to do and feels privileged she has been able to do so. She always had a passion for women’s health, however after having a difficult pregnancy of her own, her passion grew.

    Katie grew up in Dedham, Ma and now lives in Medfield with her husband and Triplet daughters Charlotte, Lilly & Molly, as well as their new puppy Maple.

    In her free time she enjoys movie nights with her family, attending her daughters endless sporting events, reading, going for walks and spending time at the beach.

Grace Schacterle, (she/her)

  • Grace Schacterle earned bachelor’s degrees in both Fine Arts and Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware.

    Grace has experience working with diverse patient populations. She spent several years volunteering to help people who suffer from mental illnesses and cognitive disabilities. And for 3 years, she worked as an Emergency Medical Technician. Through her time as an EMT, she helped to provide training to new technicians, including how to properly care for victims of sexual assault. She has always known that no matter what she pursues in her career, she wants to help people. However, her passion for physical therapy and women’s health grew when she discovered she was chronically ill and underwent years of physical therapy due to multiple traumatic injuries. It is through those experiences that she is able to empathize with patients and truly appreciate what they go through on a daily basis.

    Grace grew up in Hopkinton, MA, and in her free time she enjoys painting, spending time with friends, traveling to new places, baking, and exploring different parts of Boston.

Maggie Calderon, (she/her)

  • Maggie Calderon has been a lifetime student, going to school for her personal studies and

    applied sciences degrees while raising her three children for the past 12 years.

    She originally grew up north of Seattle but made her way to Boston where she met her husband and had her first child. While pregnant with her second moved back to Washington

    State where she and her family lived for 8 years (and had one more child), until recently when they made the trek back to Massachusetts.

    In her free time, Maggie loves to read, bake and work on household projects. Volunteers a lot of time with the youth of her church community and schools.

Jace Eardley (she/they)

  • Jace Eardley has a degree in Graphic Design and is currently pursuing a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a special interest in sex therapy. She has also been a certified yoga instructor for over 12 years and has taught across various ages and skill levels.

    Her passion for women’s health began with trying to conceive their first child, experiencing pregnancy and birth, and navigating the process of IVF. She has also taken an active role in supporting people experiencing pelvic floor disorders by starting a free support group that meets monthly allowing others to find community and not feel so alone in their experiences. She is also an active volunteer with TightLipped supporting their advocacy work in educating the public about pelvic pain disorders.

    In her free time, Jace enjoys spending time with their family, volunteering for The Trevor Project, paddleboarding and knitting.

Pregnancy & postpartum PT doctor Caryn

Caryn Phillips, PT, DPT, Founder of MomLife (she/her)

Dr. Caryn Phillips knows first-hand about the changes women go through physically, mentally and hormonally during pregnancy and during the postpartum period. So much of this is never discussed with health care providers, leaving women feeling poorly informed and helpless throughout this monumental stage of their lives. In creating MomLife Health and Wellness, Caryn's hope is to bridge the gap between new/expecting moms and perinatal health by bringing all the information to you!

Dr. Caryn is currently not seeing new patients.

  • Caryn received her Masters from the University of Connecticut and went on to receive her Doctorate from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She has completed numerous trainings focusing on prenatal and postpartum exercise, yoga for pelvic pain, myofascial and visceral manual techniques, bowel dysfunction, mind-body connection, and more. She is also certified in functional dry needling, and is a Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach. In addition to patient care, Caryn assisted in developing a new pelvic health program in a major Boston hospital.  She is very passionate about increasing pelvic and perinatal health awareness in our communities.

    She is a mom of two boys, Brayden and Oliver, and lives with them and her husband in Franklin, MA.
