Our hormones go through a major shift starting at age 35 that continues on for nearly 2 decades and has a profound impact on the way we feel and function daily. Period changes, worsening PMS, sleep issues, anxiety, weight gain, pelvic pain, pain with sex, low libido are just a few of the many symptoms that can be related to this hormone shift, also known as perimenopause.

There are life changing and evidence-based treatment options that every woman needs to know about and this workshop will help cut through the noise, confusion, and misinformation out there so that you can feel empowered to make informed choices that support your overall health and wellbeing.

Let's Talk About This-Pelvic Pain Support Group w/ Dr. Cheyenne Carter

Join us this month with Dr. Cheyenne Carter, as she teaches us about sex therapy, what are the differences between a traditional therapist and a sex therapist, and how you can find a sex therapist!

Individuals who are dealing with pelvic health conditions are often told by providers the condition is all in our heads.  This can feel invalidating to a patient.  Pelvic pain conditions are very real and can effect every aspect of a person's life.  These conditions can also take a big toll on a person's mental health.  Sex therapists have a unique training to help clients who are  experiencing pelvic pain with processing emotions around their experiences.

Dr. Cheyenne Carter holds a PhD in counseling and an MS in counseling psychology. She is a full-time faculty member in the counseling department at Southern New Hampshire University and has a part-time private practice serving clients in North Carolina and Texas. With over 20 years of experience, she is a seasoned clinician working alongside individuals and couples navigating relationship concerns, trauma, infidelity recovery, and sexuality.
